TUX won the Best Design Award for the 2023-24 season in the office furniture category at the competition organized by the A’ DESIGN AWARD & COMPETITION.
The Tux collection is designed with both style and functionality in mind. Inspired by the sophisticated elegance of tuxedo suits, the chair’s two-piece structure is specifically designed to provide optimal support, particularly for the lower back. This design aims to prevent discomfort caused by prolonged sitting by maintaining the spine’s natural curvature. Additionally, the structure conceals the mechanical components beneath the chair, contributing to its unique character and distinguishing it from traditional office chairs.
PRODUCTION / MANUFACTURING TECHNOLOGY:
The frame consists of a metal structure filled with fabric-covered polyurethane, completed with various base options depending on the model type.
RESEARCH SUMMARY:
The adoption of hybrid work models has become a significant trend. Research indicates a shift toward a flexible work environment where employees divide their time between remote work and in-person collaboration. This change stems from advancements in communication technology and an increased emphasis on work-life balance. Changing workplace habits reflect a growing focus on employee well-being. Employers are recognizing the importance of creating environments that support both physical and mental health. The use of ergonomic office furniture stands out as a crucial element in creating work environments that prioritize employee health and productivity.

CHALLENGE:
TUX redefines the office furniture paradigm with a versatile design that seamlessly adapts to office chairs, lounge chairs, and visitor chairs. This innovative approach aims to offer not only unparalleled comfort but also an aesthetic appeal that engages the senses. The challenge lies in creating a solution with a timeless and elegant design that transcends fleeting trends while seamlessly adapting to all workplace styles. By blending ergonomic excellence with contemporary design sensibilities, the task at hand is not only to meet the functional needs of various workplace environments but also to create a transformative piece that stands as a symbol of style and sophistication within the ever-evolving landscape of modern office aesthetics.
